Other worlds, the secular and the sacred

Pounding drums call out to ancient spirits
Africans Dance the Bamboula and the Calinda
Shadows of the unseen sway to the beat
Libations are poured for the great ones

The Bamboula Rhythm has traveled the World
with the children of West Africa

It is the vitality of unconquered spirits
